I too woke up at ass o'clock this morning, but at least it let me get my garbage put out in time for the truck. I have now watered window garden and cactus seedlings, fed cats, and ordered replacement floodlight bulbs and 3 cubic feet of mulch that will hopefully make my backyard puddle/pond a much less hospitable place for mosquito breeding.

I am at work, actually in the office. There are 3 of us here so far, that I’ve seen. 2 from my department. I went to turn over my calendars to July and discovered that my 1-month calendar was Jan ‘22-Jun ‘23 and my 3-month calendar is inexplicably missing July from the current month series, so I feel like I should just go back to bed until August
That sounds like a good plan, t. But worries me that maybe your calendar makers know something about July that the rest of us don’t.
My counterpart in Europe has been very frustrating. She’s not keeping up to speed. And today I find she is inexplicably absent….and SPELLED MY NAME/EMAIL WRONG in her out of office. Wtf.
New overlord just gives you X amount of holiday time, so since I have no plans for tomorrow, I'll be working and saving my hours for later in the year.

I decided on Friday afternoon to request today off, so I'm enjoying a four-day weekend with few plans and a lot of time to just sit around and read.
Taking the four day weekend as well, with the exception of one call I agreed to take.
I came up to the cabin this weekend to discover that a big tree branch came down and pretty much demolished my dock. It was not in great shape to begin with but I guess now I have to do something about it. And about the tree. It’s very tall, mostly dead, and in a pretty precarious position on a slope right by the channel so that’ll be interesting.
I’m also in the office today. I neglected to do some things Friday so the summer youth workers don’t have logins. Boo bad admin

I am having a hard time accomplishing anything today. There’s definitely tasks I should be working on! But…
I had hoped to go home about now using the precedent of going-early-the-day-before-a-holiday that has always held but there is too much to do. Dang it.
