I love jury duty! And actually just got a notice recently for the first time in at least 7 years. I asked to switch the location, which also switched the date, so I'm not actually going until next spring.

What are people up to today and tomorrow? I have zero planned, but I will do a brief work thing today, and I think maybe clean out my closet. I cleaned out a junk drawer yesterday, so maybe I can ride that momentum.

Nothing fun! Taking my sister for surgery in a few minutes. It's been a process. I feel so bad for her. Hopefully recovery tomorrow won't be too hard on her. If all goes well that will be cause enough for celebration.

I too woke up at ass o'clock this morning, but at least it let me get my garbage put out in time for the truck. I have now watered window garden and cactus seedlings, fed cats, and ordered replacement floodlight bulbs and 3 cubic feet of mulch that will hopefully make my backyard puddle/pond a much less hospitable place for mosquito breeding.

I am at work, actually in the office. There are 3 of us here so far, that I’ve seen. 2 from my department. I went to turn over my calendars to July and discovered that my 1-month calendar was Jan ‘22-Jun ‘23 and my 3-month calendar is inexplicably missing July from the current month series, so I feel like I should just go back to bed until August
