My dad is doing ok but I won’t be surprised if he declines pretty quickly. He’s mostly deaf and mostly blind (has one eye and one ear and neither are great) so it’s hard for him to communicate and he can’t read the mail and such. But lots of family and friends wanting to help so hopefully we can quickly get him somewhere that’ll have supports. My brother is making me a bit crazy and ended up screaming at him last night as he argued that requiring him to call a trans person by their preferred pronoun is akin to asking him to deny the divinity of Jesus. Wtf.

ltc’s class went on a field trip to the local library today, and she is so cranky that she wasn’t allowed to take out a book. She has her own library card. She’s in first grade reading a lot of miss grade graphic novels, but the one she just finished has a lot more words than pictures. I was so impressed.
