It is weird hearing about smoke and bad air and not being in it. Masks and respirators help, if you have access to any - those masks with the valve that we aren't supposed to use for COVID are pretty sweet for smoke. It's one of those obvious things that I forget I can do so I am reminding those of you who are in it that it might be something to remember.
SO weird. And yeah, a friend of mine from back when I lived in Philly was talking on FB about how hard it was on her lungs just taking her dog for a brief walk, and I commented something like, "You probably already know this, but assuming you have N95 or similar masks, they help a lot," and she said, "Oh, good point, I'll have to try that next time."
It just breaks my heart. This shouldn't be happening that far east at all. It shouldn't be an annual public health emergency here.

Last night was the educational session for Tim's surgery, and I was extremely distracted the entire time because the physical therapist in charge looked like Henry Cavill. (Afterward, I said to Tim, "God, I hope he's your PT after surgery," and Tim said, "You and me both!") Anyway, lots of good info. I just wish the surgery were sooner.
I could have sworn he died years ago.

Yesterday was really stressful. So of course my body has decided today is the day for the panic attack. There isn’t anything to panic about today except for the fact that my glasses are hiding from me. Stoopid brain.
Ugh. Having a v hard time concentrating at work, but there’s several urgent things that need lots of focus and that nobody else is around to help with (unfortunately most of my same-level coworkers are on vacation this week and I was the backup!!). I know people will be annoyed down the road if delays of a few days mean we miss a deadline and are a month or more delayed for other things….and I don’t want to deal with that annoyance later (or the $$$ it will involve) but I also really can’t do a deep dive review of specific track changes back and forth comments on intricate stuff right now. Ugh.
Fuck Pat Robertson. I’ll drink to his death tonight. One name off my Arya list.
