Yesterday was really stressful. So of course my body has decided today is the day for the panic attack. There isn’t anything to panic about today except for the fact that my glasses are hiding from me. Stoopid brain.

Ugh. Having a v hard time concentrating at work, but there’s several urgent things that need lots of focus and that nobody else is around to help with (unfortunately most of my same-level coworkers are on vacation this week and I was the backup!!). I know people will be annoyed down the road if delays of a few days mean we miss a deadline and are a month or more delayed for other things….and I don’t want to deal with that annoyance later (or the $$$ it will involve) but I also really can’t do a deep dive review of specific track changes back and forth comments on intricate stuff right now. Ugh.

Fuck Pat Robertson. I’ll drink to his death tonight. One name off my Arya list.

I couldn't concentrate on a damn thing at work while my mom was dying, or even for a while afterwards. I could usually manage a few specific concrete tasks, but any higher-level thinking was totally beyond me.

But while everyone has been very nice oh family is most important focus on that don’t worry next week” I know that a month from now it’ll be “well we expected that to be submitted in June but your company missed the deadline….” And it’ll be a huge pain. My parents came to visit and brought me fucking COVID. I have managed to make it through the entire goddamn pandemic, and now, entering third trimester, I get an aggressively positive rapid because they didn't fucking test before they got on a plane.

I'm...a little mad. And more than a little scared.
