My anxiety is through the roof. The clients that owe be big payments still haven't paid. Both of them are school districts. Just pay the bills.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Do you know somebody who could write you a lawyer letter or something, ND? Good for you, askye! Thanks for the good thoughts, everyone.
Ugh, ND. That is really an unfair burden on you.
OK, I realize this is the pettiest of things to complain about, but it's bugging me so much. This new application/tool/whatever we are using to manage demand forecasting alphabetizes capitalized letters before lowercase. So customer AZURE would be listed before Aaron. It's so confusing!

I do, but I've dealt with districts before and it won't help. This is literally just red tape and internal BS that is holding it up. They will eventually pay, schools are just the worst for acting like they can do it on whatever timeline works for them.
Yeah, schools are the worst for that shit. I had my transfer paperwork sit on a desk for a month (quoth them "oops!") which led to me having to take unpaid time off when I had a ton of leave banked. The wheels of educational bureaucracy move slow as molasses.
Ugh ND that is frustrating as hell. (And Debet I would’ve been pulling my hair out)
You got this erika.
I’m sorry they’re making this so much harder than it needs to be askye.
Air quality here is worse than normal but nothing like NY. Stay as insulated as you can NY-and adjacent-ers.
Yeah, I hadn't expected to be grateful for the hayfever-causing summer air down here, but I can both breathe it and see through it. Those pictures of NYC look like they're from Blade Runner 2049!
It is weird hearing about smoke and bad air and not being in it. Masks and respirators help, if you have access to any - those masks with the valve that we aren't supposed to use for COVID are pretty sweet for smoke. It's one of those obvious things that I forget I can do so I am reminding those of you who are in it that it might be something to remember.
SO weird. And yeah, a friend of mine from back when I lived in Philly was talking on FB about how hard it was on her lungs just taking her dog for a brief walk, and I commented something like, "You probably already know this, but assuming you have N95 or similar masks, they help a lot," and she said, "Oh, good point, I'll have to try that next time."
It just breaks my heart. This shouldn't be happening that far east at all. It shouldn't be an annual public health emergency here.
