meara, that is awful on all levels; I'm so sorry. Hoping for best possible outcomes for all of it, and it's a lot.
David, that's good to hear.
'Beneath You'
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Yeah it’s not “You’re cured!” But it’s definitely not “It’s worse and the treatment failed.”
It’s “This seems to be working and moving in the right direction.”
And that’s definitely a win after the last two scans.
The new drugs are here! Always takes forever to get them released from the pharmacy because clinical trial authorizations are many.
But now we’re on time for keeping the chemo pump clock countdown (45 hours) so we can catch our scheduled flight home on Sunday.
Yay for new drugs, smooth countdowns, and happy doctors. The relief must be so profound.
Sounds promising. Got rid of the social worker for another 3 months.(Not that I *meant* to put them with the tumor, but it's fitting, in a way)
On another topic - anyone have Vegas advice or suggestions? Against my better judgement :-) I appear to be going for my birthday this year.
I agreed if my sis could find a reasonable package for the U2 dome thing - which tbh looks pretty mind-blowing - we would go, and this is how the dates worked out. So we have a package deal with the show on Weds October 25 and staying at the Venetian Palazzo on the 25th and 26th, checking out Friday am.
I want to plan it so we arrive on Sunday or Monday and stay somewhere else for a few days first. Recommendations? Good pool lounging if possible and general accessibility to things. And we’ll probably plan a Grand Canyon trip or something like that on Tuesday.
(Also I’m not saying that people should seriously consider whether they have anywhere else better to be that week, but I’m not NOT saying that…)

This seems like a very good thing.

I always stay in a VRBO, for maximum pool lounging and reasonable accessibility to things, especially with a group larger than 2. It usually works out great. And I took a smaller group tour to the Grand Canyon, which was great for me -- it is far, so tough for a day trip, but I wasn't trying to hike or anything. We also stopped at the Hoover Dam and the town that the Disney movie Cars is based on (??).
No recs, but officially considering if I have anywhere better to be that week...[checks calendar, ooh, a week after the eclipse! Hm]
I pulled a muscle doing yoga. I feel like that shouldn't be allowed to happen. I should get bendier, not ouchier.
I should get bendier, not ouchier.
I've come to think of my connective tissue - ligaments, tendons, cartilage - as being like old rubber bands which are desiccated and snap under pressure instead of stretching.
Your mother being a Yoga Freak has given you some unreasonable expectations.
