is there a connection between Plaquenil and Doxycycline Hyclate?
Vortex, I found this: [link]
It is reassuring, but I don't know how much credence to give it.
I recommend having the doctor give his opinion regarding the substitution.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Hugs to Matilda, and all of you.
and they said he wasn't eligible because he hadn't uploaded a copy of his transcript with his application.
DH goes through this with the county to try and get paid for coaching. It never seems to happen. He had to get his high school transcript since apparently his university one wasn't enough. He did all that and the fingerprints and background. We expect they never will actually pay him anything. This doesn't keep him from coaching and coming way out of pocket, but it would be nice if they did something to help.
We are all dragging ass this morning.
And JZ and I fly down to LA tomorrow, where we get the important CT scan.
Mia spent Thanksgiving and Xmas with us. Her mother is legally barred from seeing her, because her mother was physically and emotionally abusive.
So, she's got a lot of trauma there.
She and Matilda met at camp and their friendship deepened during Lockdown (even as Matilda lost a lot of her core friendships).
Mia lives in San Bruno (south of SF) with her dad and two older brothers.
I had just exchanged texts with her asking for her prom pictures and she seemed fine. Obviously not.
Oh, David, how rough! Poor Mia and Matilda and argh on the phone and vibing hard for good CT scans. That is all so much for all of you.
Everything feels so chaotic and consequential.
Because it is! What a brutal time for all of you. Hang in there.
That's really terrible, but it's not Matilda's fault.(Although anyone might feel a little guilty....hope her friend gets the support she needs, too) life is just really hard sometimes...we had a 2001 like that. We are not in paradise now, but sometimes we say "It's not like '01, " and it helps for a while... sorry that you're having yours now.
Oh poor Mia. And poor Matilda. I'm glad Matilda's SIM card situation was fixed.
Sending lots of good progress~ma and vibes to JZ this weekend.
I had M's leftover tacos for breakfast and it's delicious.
So our company put out a 20% off clearance online only coupon last week and the first couple of days were 30% off of Home clearance. and orders went crazy, especially for all this Xmas stuff that we were sure got transferred out (the company has made certain stores outlets and transfers clearance out and that's been semi chaotic) and today my team lead moved a stack of broken down boxes and found under it-- boxes of Xmas stuff that had been packed like it was going to be transferred and then (I guess) covered up with the boxes and forgotten. All this stuff we had to cancel the orders for because we couldn't find them. Getting almost all the clearance out has been great but there have been issues. Like this.
They are definitely not the same -- Plaquenil is an anti-rheumatic drug used for malaria, lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis; Doxycycline is an antibiotic BUT it's also used for malaria (which I just learned), like Plaquenil, so if you were prescribed the Plaquenil as a preventive for malaria, maybe that's why CVS subbed in the Doxycycline. (If not, then I got nothin'.)
I've been losing my hair, so I went to a dermatologist. She prescribed several drugs (she menitoned that lupus may be a cause of hair loss), and the plaquenil is one of them. I'll go back to CVS tomorrow.
Wait, Vortex, do you mean for once House is wrong and it IS lupus?
I really need a kick in the pants to get stuff done. Or really, a friend to come over and sit while I clean and work. Motivates me like nothing else (and there is a website where you can do that but it’s not the same)
