Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Had a virtual appointment with my prescribing psychiatrist today and she was 15 minutes late. Ugh.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

If someone wants to bring me birria OR a Reuben I will happily take some home pickled onions on either.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Tonight I had salmon on the pasta salad I made last night, and it was all so good that I need to go to bed right now, because I don't think the day can get better from here.

Always Anti-fascist!

Newish attendant has time-management skills like the average lemur. Also, a really dramatic family life with damn-near Sons of Anarchy in it...I think she's just gonna be late a lot, though it makes my mother nuts.(maybe more because she's the only person who'd really put me first)

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

So I've been trying to hire on permanently this guy who has been a contractor for us (full-time) for about a decade. He's really awesome, very knowledgeable, good with everyone. We announced the position, he applied, I told HR I wanted him-- and they said he wasn't eligible because he hadn't uploaded a copy of his transcript with his application.

I'm beside myself. This was our opportunity for us to get him on board, and for him to have a more secure position. And it's fucked up. They don't even need his official transcript! But he's dealing with some family stuff right now, and must have just missed that bit of the announcement.

I don't know what we're going to do. So upsetting.

Oh that’s annoying Consuela. I always hear government hiring is the weirdest.

I would take any of the food options mentioned they all sound great! Though maybe no pickled onions with the salmon.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Hey Teppy, don't want to ruin your perfect day, but is there a connection between Plaquenil and Doxycycline Hyclate? I was prescribed the former, but got the latter from CVS. Are they comparable? I mean, I could call the doctor's office, but why not just ask people on the internet.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Fuck.

One of Matilda's two closest friends (Mia) just got released from a psych ward after trying to commit suicide.

She tried to call Matilda but...Matilda's phone didn't have a SIM card so she didn't get the call.

Everything feels so chaotic and consequential.

I've got to say this narrative has serious pacing issues.

As an editor I have notes.

I'm so tired and sad and frazzled.

David, that is so stressful and sad, for all of you. Thank goodness Mia's okay, though.

Hey Teppy, don't want to ruin your perfect day, but is there a connection between Plaquenil and Doxycycline Hyclate? I was prescribed the former, but got the latter from CVS. Are they comparable?

They are definitely not the same -- Plaquenil is an anti-rheumatic drug used for malaria, lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis; Doxycycline is an antibiotic BUT it's also used for malaria (which I just learned), like Plaquenil, so if you were prescribed the Plaquenil as a preventive for malaria, maybe that's why CVS subbed in the Doxycycline. (If not, then I got nothin'.)
