Wow indeed, Jesse. Would they be a good mayor?
First, my son is okay. #1 son was sandwiched in an accident at a stop light earlier today. He is handling it remarkably well. He wasn't quite up to dealing with insurance, but he sent me the accident report and pictures of the vehicle so I could report it for him. I did tell him to expect to get a call from them. He doesn't handle stuff well, so I am kinda proud of him for not flipping out. The vehicle is driveable but totally smooshed both in front and back. I hope they don't total it. Send some ~ma that his body still feels okay tomorrow. I know it takes a bit to know.
Yikes Laura! Glad he’s ok though, hope it’s not just an adrenaline high.
Oh no! So scary!
Would they be a good mayor?
No idea! He's on the board of supervisors now, another fact I just learned.
hey um I'm going to Chicago at least for a while
I've also been drinking so I need you ALL to know that I love you all very much
(white wine lol)
also LMAO because I realized we watched the D&D movie so I started hooting and flailing because I can go back in the movies thread now

I, and my hotel Manhattan, also love you!
Aww, I missed exchanging words of affection with tipsy Laga. What's happening in Chicago?
So, we need the Florida Panthers to lose their game against Toronto tonight. DH got tickets for the Mother's Day game for me, but they only come back to Florida if they lose tonight. I'm quite excited to see the game, so come on Panthers, don't wrap up the series tonight!
I wish my stomach would make up its mind--I couldn't face breakfast/solid food, so just had some coffee....but now it's all grumbly and hungry...I think this is part of why I need to be a wealthy early retiree, so I can be awake for a few hours and then have brunch, every day.
Also, loving David and JZ's updates on the trial, it's so interesting to see from the other side! (Sadly the stuff like "why can't you get your act together to dose me before 3PM" seems to be a common issue, from what I can tell, but for a variety of reasons)

I'm currently starting to sweat our infusion timing though I think we're staying ahead of the chemo pump's 45 hour countdown for our flight out on Sunday.
She's all hooked up and getting juicy bags of saline and pre-mix right now.
We're in room 48, Long Infusion, 7th Floor, Cedars Sinai Oschin cancer center today. A full private room again, which is nice for being able to close the door and having a private potty.
I'm starting to branch out and socialize on our trips. Saw Phil the Gambler last week. Going to see my friend Rio on Saturday. (Not Buffista!Rio (Anaheed), but her Bennington friend she stole the name from.)
On our next trip down we get our CT Scan which is exciting/terrifying. So far we've been 0-for-2 on CT Scan news, the first two being flat out disastrous.
Scan 1: JZ has cancer. It has metastasized. It's inoperable.
Scan 2: You've had the worst possible outcome to chemotherapy and your tumors are continuing to proliferate.
The bloodwork is encouraging and bloodwork is fine and dandy, but the Scan is what matters.
So for Scan 3 we're looking for a hearty, "These tumors are definitely shrinking."
The doctor and study coordinator have been very inquisitive about JZ's continuing GI tract adventures (as this seems to be the only side effect of treatment). I had to note that I haven't spent this much time evaluating how much puke and how long it went on since post event gossip after high school keggers. (Short answer: very little puke, usually mitigated by Compazine.)

"Scanxiety." I still get it, too.
