I recently dropped my Nook and couldn't get a replacement screen so I purchased a Kindle to give it a try. (I hate it) I will get my Nook fixed, but in the meantime, I have to look at all those Kindle deals since I am pretty unfamiliar with the way that all works. My to-read list is long enough for me to be in a rush though.

Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I have never bothered to buy dedicated Nook or Kindle hardware. Depending on where I am, I use their apps on my laptop or iPad or mobile phone. Works well for me.

Same.
In the past week my aunt, and last relative of that generation, died and my mom's bestie (and sort of an honorary aunt for me) died. I'm a bit sad. They were both in their 80s, long lives well lived and all that. But still.
I'm sorry, Calli. Yes, it is good to celebrate lives well lived, but it doesn't spare you the grief of loss.

Love to you, Calli. That is hard.
Yeah, one time I agree with Anya. Sometimes mortal bodies suck.
Thanks, y'all. I'm the youngest of my generation in the family by a fair bit. So I don't feel like I'm part of the "wise elders" group. But there's no generation before me holding up that torch, so I guess the subsequent generations are stuck with me and the cousins. I spent far too long this morning debating whether to get a welcome mat that says "Definitely not a trap door," so subsequent generations had best moderate their expectations accordingly.

David, I hope the next trip down goes much smoother.
I've read 2 MCU fics I have to rec-- both are AU and probably out of character but I don't care.
The first is My Big Fat Wolf Wedding (https://archiveofourown.org/works/31175741) Steve (who is a vampire) accidentally gets engaged to Bucky (who is a werewolf). -- Steve just thought he was biting a hot guy, Bucky thought he found his true mate or something.. Bucky in this is a very sweet, kind of himbo-ish werewolf dude who has a love of romance novels and Steve just wants to have the best werewolf wedding for Bucky as possible since he accidentally got werewolf married/engaged to him.
And then there is the Bait and Switch verse [link] Bucky is the Winter Soldier, Sam is Captain America, Steve is just a regular guy (not a super hero) but definitely has some Thoughts on Tactics and Strategy he shares with Tony, (after Tony invites himself and Sam to Bucky and Steve's lunch date). I still haven't started reading any actual books. I need to do that.
