We’ve gone to Target, just had an early dinner, and now we’re at Lowe’s to kill time before a 6:50 movie (Renfield, which I hope is every bit as ridiculous as the trailers made it look).

Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Timelies all!
Happy Anniversary Karl!
We went up to visit Mr. S today. Bit of a longer visit, as there were a few things he wanted to do/get. He now has a new pair of shoes, several new items of clothing and a haircut. Gary got a haircut, too.
she's the commander of an ice-breaker in the Great Lakes, so she posts all sorts of wonderful video clips of the Mackinaw going in and out of port.
That is so cool. Would you mind linking up to her Instagram, please, if you think she wouldn’t mind?
Today I went with some friends to an exhibition of costumes from Ruth Carter, the designer for Black Panther, among other things. It was very cool!
I’m sorry about your pup’s GI woes, Trudy.
Happy Anniversary Karl.
I went to a yarn festival today. The plan was to buy 2-4 skeins of yarn. I bought 9. oops. I already got my state tax refund though so I didn't charge anything.
Now I'm knitting and watching movies.
Tomorrow Mac turns 22. 16.5 years we've been our little dysfunctional family. I think he's doing well and I continue to see him inching towards more responsible.
We're going out on a dinner date tonight, to this place, mostly because we haven't been out for a nice dinner just the two of us in ages, but my official reason is it's a sendoff for my soon-to-be extracted molar.
Once my implant is finally in place, I want to celebrate with dinner here, assuming the restaurant gods are kind and nothing happens to it, since steak seems a fitting way to honor receiving a strong new tooth.
Yeah, Trudy, so sad for the pup.(and not just because I've done it to my mom, sort of) Happy Mac's birthday.
TFW you've read so much fan fiction in a genre that you think that you've seen movies that you haven't. Apparently, I've never actually seen The Avengers.
You probably heard us discuss all the plot points and performances in pretty close detail as well. Though I don't think my and Plei's endorsements of Steve Rogers' introductory sparring scene could carry the same impact as seeing it with your own eyes...
Today my city held an annual Arts and Eats festival downtown. It was nice seeing so many artists displaying their wares, and I ran into a couple of old friends I hadn't seen in ages. Also, Mom discovered that she really likes falafel pitas (I could have sworn I've gotten some for her before), and made friends with the mama alley cat behind my old apartment building with quickness that frankly astonished me.
Later this afternoon was scary. We had a fire on my block—the cabinetry workshop of a neighbor across the street went up like it was made of matchsticks, accompanied by explosions from what I assume were cans of varnish. At one point it looked like the whole yard was on fire, with the wind blowing toward my house, but thankfully the fire department was really efficient at putting it out.
Oh, yikes, Matt, that is scary. I'm glad, obviously, the fire didn't spread further.
Went with two friends to a place tonight where you can play board/card/whatever games and order food and drink. It was fun, and one of my favorite parts was that you order and pay for dinner and drinks at the bar, they bring it to your numbered table, and, unless you want to run a tab, you don't have to wait for a check or anything. Are you done? You can leave! Love.
Downside: I woke up at 6.
Upside: I have nachos!
