Happy birthday to beekaytee! It was good to see your fonts last week and I do hope you have a delightful day, and that your new home continues to treat you well in the coming year.
It is also beth b's birthday, so although sightings have been scarce, I hope she is being spoiled this day and always.
I'm never sure what to do with the Buffistas on the official Nilly Birthday Calendar who may or may not be lurking. A couple days ago was also Cybervixen's birthday. I know she is well because I see her on FB. Too many Buffistas missed around these parts. Nilly also had note of anniversaries and Buffista sprog birthdays, but I haven't acknowledged them feeling I would leave it up to the individual to mention. Yes, I may overthink this stuff.

Laura, I understand the overthinking issue. I think you handle this in a delightful manner, for what it's worth.

In San Francisco you can get great store-bought tomatoes, because they're heirloom and organic.
Living in California is basically a cheat code for local/seasonal produce, though. Everyone else has to get theirs shipped from you.

I can get local produce in the winter here, and in the summer in NY, so that works out. Florida tomatoes and strawberries are delightful. My dear Mom used to can all summer whatever we would eat in the winter. Although I do miss her preserved plums or the strawberry rhubarb. Yum.

Right after her birthday in late June when they do the COLA increase on her salary in early July. That helps establish the base rate for her pension plan. (She's been there for 30 years so she's fully vested and her pension payments will be pretty close to her current salary, though we have to pay for our own insurance.)
