Living in California is basically a cheat code for local/seasonal produce, though.
I can get local produce in the winter here, and in the summer in NY, so that works out. Florida tomatoes and strawberries are delightful. My dear Mom used to can all summer whatever we would eat in the winter. Although I do miss her preserved plums or the strawberry rhubarb. Yum.
Woo, retirement -- when, when, when?
Right after her birthday in late June when they do the COLA increase on her salary in early July. That helps establish the base rate for her pension plan. (She's been there for 30 years so she's fully vested and her pension payments will be pretty close to her current salary, though we have to pay for our own insurance.)
I swear at first glance you were telling us that JZ was up and had the zoomies.
Bolting around the room like a whippet!

Same! Also yay retirement! Pensions are good.
Lol the image of JZ and a bunch of surgeons gallivanting up and down the halls of a hospital with zoomies is cracking me up.
So I’m on this trial that is a study of ozempic vs a new drug vs both together vs placebo. I’m 100% certain I’m not on placebo, for starters—I’ve lost 15 pounds in like 5-6 weeks. But I stepped up the dose a bit over a week ago, and last weekend felt awful but hoped it was just the first dose….but this past weekend was so nauseated and puking. Overkill on the weight loss y’all!! Thankfully felt better yesterday and today but geez.
That's probably good data for someone, meara. But yikes, sorry you got hit with that.
This $1.29 frozen burrito is not super high quality nor immensely satisfying. Quelle surprise.
Yeah definitely had to call the site and let them know, the doc there is giving me some anti-nausea stuff and we’ll see if it helps this weekend—yesterday and today I’ve felt mostly fine so we’ll see after one more dose Friday if I need to go back down to the starting dose!
Ooof, I hope you are past the ick.
Hmmm, apparently Dominion and Fox have reached a settlement. Not sure what the terms were.
$788 million sounds like a lot of money, but is it a deterrent or whatever for Fox? I have no idea.

I don't want a settlement! I want Hannity dragged through the mud in court!
Dominion was suing for a billion, minimum, so I hope $788 million hurts FOX.
