Indeed! Nap with a clear conscience, JZ!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

No one should apologize for a nap! Least of all you today, JZ.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We went to a folk concert last night, at a venue very close to Mr. S's rtc. We hadn't seen this performer in a very long time.(He's Canadian, so there was a few years where coming to the US was difficult. Then came Mr. S and the pandemic) It was good.

I'm a fucking amazing catch!--Fiona Gallagher, Shameless(US)

If you can rest like that, you probably should, JZ.(Never easy for me to do, but, despite what I look like,I'm only seldom trying to recover from anything...besides mourning for my life like the girl in the play.) Aw, missed Karl? Not that I don't trail him through the internet like a duckling most of the time.

Happy Birthday, ND!

I cleaned out the fridge AND took out and washed the drawers and shelves, made breakfast, and ate it -- all before 9a today. WHAT. I don't need to do a single other thing to earn my gold star for a Sunday, woot!

Went to a cool concert last night -- ice instruments! A group from Norway. So pretty to watch and very soothing sonically. This group, but the instrument maker/leader on the horn with different musicians but same instruments last night video link.

Wonder whether I did the link right... [ETA: Go, me!]

Thrive to spite them

We are at the beach. Dad was here to meet us and had dinner ready. He also brought down a bunch of groceries so we won't have to worry for a while.

I related despite over packing I still forgot some things I meant to bring, stuff for art I can't just go out and replace but that's OK.

I'm also realizing how much my clothes smell of cigarette smoke living with M's mom so I think I'm going to wash all my clothes today. I usually febreeze my clothes before I wear them but didn't when I was packing.

Last night the forecast called tor 60% chance of rain with thunderstorms , around 6 or 7 when I checked. This morning the forecast is less than 20% chance of rain. It's super humid though so I really don't want to be outside too much but since I' didn't think it would be nice today that works put.

Very cool!

Enjoy your Florida time, askye.

We are looking at more rain today and tomorrow. Also, they are warning of a big mosquito issue in a couple of days after the flooding. I'm okay here because we have so much wind next to the beach, but it is going to be torture for the homeless population on the city streets. I hope they are taking advantage of the Red Cross shelters that were set up for the people whose homes were wrecked. Mostly they are in the Rec center, which is a normal hurricane shelter, in the large city park where I take Skinner. One of the displaced people wandered over to play with the dogs.
