Spike: We got a history, him and me. Fred: What? Spike: It was a long time ago. He was a young Watcher, fresh out of the academy when we crossed paths. It was a, what-you-call battle of wills and blood was spilled. Vendettas were sworn. It was a whole-- Fred: My God you're so full of crap. Spike: Yeah. Okay.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Much surgery~ma for Epic!

Jessica, I'm glad the work stuff is working out and that you'll have some time away from it all.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

The Minibar Was A Comparative Bargain!

What? How is that possible?!

Woo Jess! Responsible Sourcing sounds pretty cool (I mean, what I've seen of what my coworkers who deal with it do is not something I want to do, but it has rewarding aspects) and hooray for dealing with it before you are actually unemployed! And also hoo for London vacation!

Infusion~ma for JZ and surgery~ma for Epic!

This is the time for bird drama, isn't it? How exciting! I just have the same mockingbird singing endless arias, which I do enjoy but there's not much novelty.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

...the same mockingbird singing endless arias, which I do enjoy but there's not much novelty.

Perhaps he will take requests, if you play him some tunes to learn.

Thrive to spite them

Lots of ~health and healing ma to Epic and JZ

Susan I hope your implant procedure goes well. I have way more issues about my gums than my actual teeth and the cost played into it.

Today M and I ran some errands and had Jamaican for lunch. Yesterday I had to take Penny to the vet, she doesn't have a UTI but her peeing outside the litter box is probably from anxiety (it started when Cheeto came into the house) and so she's on anti anxiety meds for a month at least. So far it's going ok she hasn't peed outside of the litter box and she hasn't growled or hissed when Cheeto has come near.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Tomorrow Gary and I are joining some friends at a gaming cafe to play board games. Should be fun. Sunday we go to the kosher supermarket to get lots of Passover stuff.(First seder is Wed. night)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Excited about Jes escaping the burning crater of Comixology, landing a new gig and getting London!

What? How is that possible?!

I bought a Manhattan at the bar. It was $26 (plus tip). So let's say that was $30 for one drink. Because it was.

The Minibar had a premixed Manhattan that cost $36 but it was three times as much drink. Also, I had requested a bucket of ice so I could fix it as I preferred, as the bar's Manhattan only had that One Big Cube of ice which really doesn't properly cool the drink.

So three drinks for $36 vs. one drink for $30.
