Good luck with the surgery, David.
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Good luck with the surgery, David.
Thanks. It's nothing really. Lidocaine, snip snip, stitch stich.
What's more stressful is that Cedars Sinai just called to say that MAYBE they wouldn't be ready for us to start this Friday after all. They were trying but it wasn't all together yet.
We're getting on a plane on Thursday! Tickets bought, hotel booked! Matilda sitting lined up!
And NOW you tell us you maybe won't be ready until next week? Do they not grasp how stressful that makes it? I would've welcomed another week off before we started. They should've done that from the beginning.
Gah.
Oh dear, David. I do hope you get a call soon that says they are ready for you. Also, may the snip snip, stitch stitch go easily.
Best wishes with the Surgery, Hec.
I've been asking ChatGPT questions and the answers are really underwhelming. It reminds me of when I used GitHub's co-pilot for awhile. It was kinda meh. Maybe I'm just bad at picking questions to ask.
Aw, Hecubus...hoping life clears your plate soon.
Mine, too. (In a different way.) But sometimes I wish special education hadn't taught us to think of getting a break as a disabled person the way abled people think about head lice.
The surgery was more extensive than I had expected. I thought they were just going to go around the perimeter of the original excision, which had started at about the size of a 50 cent piece, and healed to a nickel.
But they did a big old six inch diamond incision around the whole area and stitched it up and I'm going to have a gnarly dueling scar.
And they've postponed the first infusion by a week, which is just fine by me. I'm canceling our flights and stay and will re-book.
I'm very weary.
Get some rest!

Scars are cool, though. So much cooler than skin cancer.
