Ah, I'm so glad you finally have the surgery date, Epic. That's huge progress.

Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I'm sorry about Mozzie and Shelby's health problems. Much ~ma to them and their people.
Loving living things can be hard. Beautiful, but hard.
Well said.
Epic, I'm glad you have a date and can start planning around it.
Best wishes for Shelby, Cass
Glad you have a date set, Epic!
Timelies all!
I usually talk to my folks on Sunday. Last Sunday my dad mentioned that he had blood in his urine and was going to the urologist to try to find out the source. He calls tonight to say there's a mass of some sort, and that a biopsy will be done. Hopefully it'll turn out to be something easily dealt with. I just wish he didn't feel the need to give me all the details of how they found it. TMI, Dad.

Hey, guess what my department is doing? Reorganizing! Again! It's not a big change for me at this point, because I was already in an uncertain state waiting for waveforms to collapse (and still am until they hire someone above me), and I think everyone knew that duties and responsibilities were going to be shifting, but some of the who-reports-to-whom changes are catching people off guard.

Well, to be fair, it is a day that ends in "y"
ND makes an excellent point.
That is so
I suppose some day we will go more than a few weeks without reorganizing and I won't know what to do with myself

I feel that way about my brother's prostrate issues but I figure body parts having issues are just part of life at this point. So I've been working on getting rid of the oddness and just accepting that bodies are made of parts, and they aren't scandalous. It's a work in progress.
We had 35 feet of fencing come completely down in storms and today all of the materials we needed to replace the section in the same design as the other three sides (it was a plain wood fence that was already in place previously) were in. Two trips to Tetris the wood and wire mesh into small cars. With a bonus trip to Home Depot to get more screws. I was so focused on getting the right wood that we missed checking screws. So hopefully by Monday, we will be able to let Shelby pup out for more than supervising the construction.

Reorganizing! That's what we need to do more often!

Yes, we measure the complexity of the project by how many trips we end up making to the hardware store. I hope Shelby is at least enjoying the supervising.
