Add me to the list of people pronouncing desultory wrong. If enough of us are pronouncing it wrong, then I think we get to declare our version a regional dialect.

I was listening to a radio program a while back and they played an old ad from like the 30s for Cheerios, educating people about the importance of the pro-tee-ins to you diet.
I know a person who pronounces binary as BYE-uh-nary. It always catches me. Not BI-nuhry or BI-NARY. But as if there were another letter there in between bi and nary. I mean, it doesn't ruin my day or anything, but I think she's the only one I've ever heard say it that way.

I also finished an onerous first email in a series today (onerous only because I made the task such), so I think the dam is broken and the rest of the series will flow more easily now, yay.

I finally had to ask about "LatinX", like, is the x silent? Because, I don't give a ton of speeches anymore, but here in the Southwest, some folks in the audience will be it.(I learned it's lateenex) Just didn't want to be the one reading off the poster, right?
