Due to working with British colleagues for over a decade now, there are a number of words I pronounce in the British manner because they’re just more fun that way! I love this “schedule” and their “regulatory” so much more than ours. So I’ve made them mine.

We are having a fundraiser at a bar called “Barfly’s” next week and I’m doing everything in my power not to call it “barf-ly’s out loud.
I had a training this morning where the presenter talked about de-MEN-she-uh, and I thought "I don't believe I've ever heard anyone pronounce the "i" in there before."

I just console myself that mispronouncing words you know the meaning of generally means you learned them from reading, not conversation.
