Timelies all!

I carried over the maximum amount of annual leave from last year, so I talked to my supervisor about taking time off on a regular basis through the year.(To prevent the end-of-year scramble to use the use-or-lose leave) Yesterday she said "How about tomorrow?" and I took today off. Got my emissions inspection done. (passed)

Only scheduled thing for this weekend is going up to visit Mr. S on Sunday.

Whelp, I’m getting a verbal write up at work for a phone convo. The employee has a grievance filed and since I’m not the lead on the situation I shouldn’t have done anything but take a message.

Fuck it.

I was hoping to send a message by applying for an open position before I left work today, but there is nothing posted that’s a fit. Next week is going to be a fucking mess. My boss is having someone else do the write up, so I’ll be asking her if I now report to this other person AND if I do, I’d like to move desks.

Dang, msbelle. You job sure seems to like to mix it up between asking you to do way too much for your position and forbidding you to do too much. Your boss outsourcing the writeup seems super weird.

My plans for the weekend are housework and feeding alley cats tomorrow morning, then taking Mom to see my cousin in hospice in the afternoon. (He's fading fast, so this may be our only chance to visit him.) Sunday I think I'm going to pivot from my planned horror movie to seeing 80 for Brady or Cocaine Bear instead

askye, I know things may be different for you, but after my colonoscopy I was so loopy and hazy there was no way I could have driven, much less stood on my feet to work afterward. Maybe you should take the whole day off, if you can.

My four hours+ of blissful alone time starts now, and we even had a nice swim followed by a pleasant breakfast at our usual place this morning, so I'm awake and in a good mood already. Bonus.

Thanks. It’s been forever since the girls saw each other. We were supposed to have New Years at noon on NYE but that also had to be canceled due to illness. They just adore each other and both are so sad today.
