Thrive to spite them

ooh I also saw something on a forum where someone was complaining about "boomers" who are 40+ and how they need to get a life. So I see that Boomer is just becoming slang for "old person" but I did pipe up that someone in their early 40s is either a millennial or Gen X.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday Pix! Happy Birthday Maria!

It's a grey, rainy day here and the most dangerous word are in effect: Mr. S is bored.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Yikes, Sheryl. That's a fraught sentence. Vibing for a gentle transition to non-boredom.

Just had a fun couple of rounds SuperBowling with friends (literal bowling - not the game) followed by dinner. Fun times. Good way to finished the weekend. Now I plan to read and go to bed early.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I went for a long training hike in San Bruno this morning with some friends, and when we got back to the car there was a gentleman around my age leaning on his car, looking sweaty and weepy. We asked if he was okay, and he said he had pain from his shoulder down his arm. Which made us all very nervous. We tried to call 911 for him, but he said he had no health insurance and wasn't old enough yet for Medicare. In the end, we got his son's phone number, drove up to the top of the ridge where we got cell coverage, and called the son. Texted him the location where his father was.

I hope he's okay. He really didn't want us to do anything for him but we insisted on giving him aspirin and water and making sure he had someone who knew where he was.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

not watching the game, but I paused my movie to watch the halftime show and was underwhelmed. No guest stars even.

Oh, geez, Consuela. I hope he's OK, and, Jesus this country is fucked up with respect to health care, which is stating the obvious, but, good god.

Nearly anywhere else in the world we could have called him some help without it ruining his financial situation.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Lots of visits near the groomers with his favorite treats! Gotta overwhelm the fear with good associations.
Yep.

DH and I have obtained Burning Man tickets for this year.
Fantastic!

Our healthcare for some is appalling. I honestly thought I was going to die and I still regret my first ambulance ride.

I totally watched the Super Bowl. And was happy with the results. Even loved halftime.
