Apparently if you're enough of a power nerd, there is nothing that cannot be flowcharted.

Cass, that sucks! I hop you have an easy recovery and that it doesn't fuck with you in terms of prolonged symptoms. I think if you get Covid while you have long Covid (or long Covid is easing up), you should automatically be exempted from all current and future long Covid bullshit. Like when you multiply 2 negative numbers and it becomes a positive number.

Thrive to spite them

Cass I hope you have a quick recovery.

Dana I have been taking a steroid but I didn't take it today and I had the flushing again so based on that the pharmacists didn't think it was the steroid. Although I am going to take the steroid tomorrow because I still feel fluid in my ear.

Steph, my sleep has been really rough lately so I don't really want to take something that will make me sleep all day or most of the day and then stay up all night. So I'll try the aspirin before the antibiotic (I need to go do that now) and then if it doesn't help I'll try the Benadryl tomorrow. We don't have Benadryl otherwise I'd try that tonight.

I got a new computer chair and Penny really likes it. Every time I get up she is in my chair and she doesn't want to sit on my lap so I have to kick her off and then watch her kind of sulk. I have continued to be kind of old school and stuck with a desk top computer, although partly I've stuck with a desktop because of how prone I am to dropping things, knocking them over etc.

Maybe Benadryl at bedtime (if you get some) will be enough to help with the flushing. I hope the aspirin helps!

Oh, no Cass! I'm so sorry!

Sorry about that Cass. Hopefully this case will be mild and not passed on to others.

{{{Cass}}}

~ma for a mild case and a quick recovery.

My surgical recovery is coming along normally, i.e. more slowly than I'd like. I go back to work next week, but since I'm 100% WFH hopefully that won't be too bad. They did discover from the pathology report on the tissue that was removed that I have some precancerous markers, which I'm trying not to freak out about too much. At this point this will probably just mean extra screenings beyond an annual mammogram, though the surgeon did mention tamoxifen therapy as a potential option. I'm scheduled to meet with someone at the breast clinic for counseling on the risks and my options for managing them the same day I go in for my next post-op appointment in about a month.

Let me just say that "precancerous" is where you want to catch these things.

If that's where you are, you're going to be fine.

Wishing you quick healing and no further complications.

Thanks, David--in my head, I know that, at least with the exception of that part of my head that drives my anxiety. I'm getting better at keeping the anxiety from seizing the wheel, but it does still try sometimes.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Much healing~ma, Susan. And if there is anything to be found, as David said, precancerous is the best time to find it.

I do expect this Covid having and recovery will be much easier.

I just really, really was starting to feel like I'd started kicking long Covid out the door, so the possibility reality of being Covid+ is stressful because what if the long Covid comes back? Without much sciencing to read up on, I don't know what to expect long-term.

Thank you all for the good wishes.
