"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Worried about so many in the way of the west coast storms. The rain pictures are very scary.

We've got ten more days of rain too. The storm systems are just packed out there like airplanes waiting to land.

Just had some rare thunder and lightning in SF.

Our wings are not tired.

We get the crazy rain totals during tropical storms, but we live on sand and it seeps away pretty quickly.

That is so much rai , and yet you’ll still be in a drought, which sucks! Climate change argh.

(Also lol @. “Mearas hospital”—that place was awful, do not recommend)

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Sorry about the window, Hec. I hope that ends up being the extent of the storm damage for you. While I know CA has wanted water for a while, all at once, in unusable quantities seems like an unfortunate way to get it.

askye, I hope your mom recovers quickly.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Sorry about the window, David. But glad there wasn't further damage. Wishing you and SF an easy time with the oncoming storms.

Also good wishes to Sheryl and family and Askye and her family. And anybody else who needs health-ma.

askye, I have a full box of paper masks that I bought in the beginning of the pandemic. If you can use them, happy to pop them in the mail.

Thrive to spite them

Compassionately intolerant

Just had some rare thunder and lightning in SF.

I vividly remember the first time I saw fireflies (Lincoln, NE, 1988) and the first enormous thunder and lightening storm I experienced (Post Peace March where we got ALL the weather) in Rockville a few months after I left San Diego. I never knew such things existed growing up within visual distance of the Bay Bridge.

Best of luck to all, in every category! Weather, ~ma, healing, growth, etc.

He was supportive and it went well, and it makes me think things may be looking good for the move, since he was the one to bring it up.

That bodes well.

I hope your mom is doing OK, askye. And I’m sorry about your window, David, though if it had to happen, better that one than one of the curved ones, I guess? Cold comfort.

I am having trouble buckling down to work today -- though I did a solid mornin of planning, which did need to be done but is also a form of not actually doing the things. OK. So. I'll commit here to two hours of work with at least two finished documents (they're short) at the end. Deal, self? Deal.
