I saw a headline that Gaetz said he'd quit if the Dems join woth the GOP to elect a moderate Speaker of House. I know he's lying but...

I don't think we'd get that lucky.

The immediate problem is that my mother's ankle/foot is arthritic, but apparently some of the old injuries and stuff are because her ankle has always kind of been Not Like The Others anyway, possibly from birth. She is wearing a boot on it right now and will get an orthotic thing eventually...not clear on what that means for us, although we are trying to get extra help to get through it...not exactly feeling great about any of that. But she was lucky to get right in, I suppose.

That's a lot to have going on erika. I hope that both of you get some answers and some health. It frustrates me to no end how f'ed up access to proper healthcare is in this country.

#ByeFelicia Agency folks always looked so surprised that I thought my brother, not the perfect solution by any stretch, was a more-likely backup than them. But there are things one just knows, and that was one. Even "'Cause I know," is not the best of the grown-lady answers, and I was hoping to be proven wrong, too. We're combining that with Divorce Xmas anyway.

Oy. I just got a letter from the IRS telling me that I didn't report and pay taxes on $30,000 of unemployment income in 2021. I did not apply for nor receive any unemployment in 2021, as I was fully employed the entire year. I guess I get to add dealing with the Fed, the State, and credit bureaus to my to-do-list. And yet, laundry still needs to happen.

That happened to my sister - apparently it was thing during COVID. It was pretty easily resolved, as it was someone out of state. Hopefully this will be too.
