If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That happened to my sister - apparently it was thing during COVID. It was pretty easily resolved, as it was someone out of state. Hopefully this will be too.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Brenda, did she start by dealing with IDES?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Mr S woke up during the night and threw up. He seems to be fine now.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh no, aurelia! I hope it turns out to be easy to resolve

Compassionately intolerant

I guess I get to add dealing with the Fed, the State, and credit bureaus to my to-do-list.

aurelia, where the Fed and state are concerned, I strongly recommend contacting your House Rep office. Every such entity has an IRS liaison who...at least in my case many years ago...can resolve tax errors like this with a phone call. Put together your case with documentation and a timeline before you call, and then have that info routed to the right person.

I fought with the IRS for 18 months and nearly lost my mind. I submitted my documentation and the matter was resolved in 3 days (including a weekend).

It's one of the benefits of paying taxes, you might as well use it.

PS: a similar tactic was used when I was sent a red-rimmed letter informing me that there was a bench warrant for my arrest and a $250,000 fine pending because I did not register for the draft. (obviously a loooong time ago) Interestingly, a couple of years later, I met a male B o n n y (Prince Charles...not even kidding) in the teller booth at my bank.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And the good news is, those people should be back in place on Monday! (I saw some tweets about staffers trying to contact the IRS and other agencies, and the agencies writing back that since the member was actually still just a member-elect, they couldn't do anything. Hot mess.)

Another awful day here. Mr. S woke up a little before 5 because he had an accident which we had to help clean up. Went back to sleep for a bit, then had waffles for breakfast. The rest of the morning went ok, I did grocery shopping and Gary took Mr. S to get his COVID booster.

After lunch...not so much. First, the kids that Mr. S wanted to play with ended up having other plans. Then Gary took him to a playground about a mile away. That started out ok, but then Mr. S ran off and went into another meltdown such that Gary had to call 911 and they took Mr. S to the ER, again. That's twice in less than a week.

Thanks for that tip. I have a long-serving rep, so her staff shouldn't have a learning curve on this sort of thing.

Again... oy.

My accomplishments for the day are getting my bi-valent booster and deleting some 2000 emails.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It was my aunt's wake today and then 30 people came back to the house, and by the time they left and we cleaned up, it was like 4pm and I still went for a walk and then I cooked dinner, and I have bread rising! Phew.

Edit: I should say, wake in lieu of anything else. She didn't want a service or anything.
