I had a dentist appointment today I thought to get a crown but it was just a filling. Took no time. And then they had an opening for a cleaning ao I did that. Glad I did because it had been over a year and my teeth really needed it. I think if I had waited much longer I would have needed a deep cleaning.
And then M is dealing with VA frustrations. He had an appointment and got prescriptions for pain meds and anti anxiety med and they mail those. But nothing arrived. I've been reminding him to call and finally he did...there is no record of the prescriptions. So now he needs another appointment which will be months away probably.
I wonder just how much the wing-nuts can piss off their own caucus before five Republicans say "fuck it" and switch parties.
We got an email that IT is working on it, it's not that we're all getting locked out on purpose. So that's something.
That's a nice thought, Tom. I'm worried that it'll swing the other way and we'll have even more gridlock and obstruction for two years. BTDT do not want another t-shirt.

They were saying that if some number of Republicans voted present (maybe 10?), then Hakeem Jeffries would end up the speaker. Not going to happen, but nice to dream.

I *think* I have completed my self-appraisal? The instructions say to press the green send button and there is no green send button (I confirmed another coworker does not see one either, it's not just me). One day before the deadline!
Starting on January 1st companies advertising for jobs in California and Washington (and Colorado was already doing this) and NYC are all supposed to list a salary range on their job posting. There are definitely more than there used to be, but many companies still aren't (including mine, grr! I want to see where I fall!)
