Awesome, sj!

That sounds delightful, bonny.

I'm sorry to hear that, Sheryl.

We are watching Glass Onion tonight, because Jess remined me to. Thank you.

We were going to go see lights at the botanical garden tonight, but Matt is not feeling well (nothing seriously wrong), so we're ordering in instead and watching the movie. Totally good with that!

Coding and Sleeping

We watched Glass Onion not too long ago and enjoyed it. I like the original Knives Out a little better, but my wife liked Glass Onion a little better.

At the new house in Minnesota. Had to do a lot of shoveling the first few days. Still unpacking and setting up.

Oh my YUM. The collard greens and Hoppin' John this year are the best batch evah. MmMmMm.

Glass Onion did not grab me at first, but it ended up being so twisty and turny. It will sound like sacrilege, I'm sure, but I enjoyed the Tiffany Haddish series, "The Afterparty", which is Glass Onion with a fraction of a fraction of the budget, more.

Our wings are not tired.

Sounds like a perfect start to a new year, beekaytee.

Great to hear, sj. Are you all feeling better? I'd stop by for leftovers if we could finally get the transporter functional.

{{Sheryl}} May this be the year that Mr S learns self control. I'm exhausted for you.

Not that interested in Glass Onion because I didn't enjoy Knives, but I don't recall why. DH thinks I was just in a mood when we watched it. Hmmm.

How are you enjoying the new house and location, Gud? I hope you are making more progress in unpacking and setting up than we are here.

Started the new year with a nice walk on the beach and swim. The surf temperature here is ridiculously warm for January, 78! At this rate hurricane season is going to be year round.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We are all finally healthy here. knock on wood

Teacup goes back to school on Tuesday and TCG goes back to work the same day. Meanwhile, I start with a new therapist tomorrow because my old therapist left the practice.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Glad to hear you're settled into MN, Gud!

I preferred Knives Out to Glass Onion, though that may partially be the casts. But White Lotus covered a similar sort of vibe and better for me.

I'm enjoying the re-watch of Wednesday. It really is a Dark Academia Hogwarts story and I'm down for that.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I feel like Knives Out will continue to hold up over time. I'm not sure Glass Onion will age as gracefully. I enjoyed both though!

Our stage manager shared some fun facts about ACC '22 in the closing report: Out of 53 performances we did 14.5 with the full company. 32 different cover tracks went on at various times for outs and the domino effect. 2 covers went on in roles that were not part of their original cover assignments. 24 consecutive shows with covers on, our longest streak. 1 show hold for a car on fire.

Happy New Year everyone and happy birthday Susan W!

Seconding the wishes for health and peace for all here: it's hard to believe how long we've all been trucking along together. May 2023 be better than the last, as the song says.

I'm back home after 4 nice but crowded days in the mountains, where it rained and we had 7 people and 5 dogs (well, 4 good dogs and one friendly tornado). Thank god it was nice today and we got out to do some snowshoeing, and I learned how to put the chains on my car.

The rain has been pretty epic and it's coming back later in the week. There have been evacuations in the Central Valley because of levee failures. It's a lot.

Oof, that is a lot of rain, Consuela. Glad you had a fun visit, though.

Today feels like a free day. I like it.
