I woke up and discovered 1) that we have probably flipped the Senate and 2) I had an email about a possible fraudulent charge. I am trying to call the bank to figure out what is going on but I keep hitting the wrong buttons or ending up in the wrong part of the phone tree of options and have to hang up and call back.
Which means I have to hear the whole recording about the stimulus check and how to go to IRS.gov and if it's pending then dont' call them.
Finally got through.
Looks like someone tried to make 3 purchases.
Plot twist- it's on mom's account (she added me to her account a year ago) and she did make those charges. I did not realize this until after I had cancelled her card and verified my name and address of where to send it.
So now I have to call back and figure out how to fix that mistake. And of course I got distracted by their long stimulus announcement and hit the wrong option on the phone tree which means hanging up and calling back again. And listening to the stimulus announcement again.
I need caffeine.

Trump demonstrators have breeched the Capitol building and are trying to occupy it, overrunning Federal police. It's a full on melee. They went through four layers of security fence.

Imagine if a Black Lives Matter protest had breached four layers of security fence at the Capitol. People couldn't march peaceably by LaFayette Park this summer, without being tear gassed.
