The personal relationship with doctors really is helpful. Since they text me with their problems all the time I don't hesitate to text them when I have an issue. The part that makes me sick is that all patients should be listened to and treated right, not just those of us who work with doctors.
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I'm skyping with E and they went to DC yesterday and the Smithsonian (I think) and he texted me a few pictures (he got a phone for Xmas! he is so happy) but today he was telling me about what they say-- C3PO and R2D2, Muppets
Elmo and "the trash can guy from Elmo....The trash can guy from Elmo.... I asked him if he meant Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street and he was like "yeah if that's the trash can guy". He never watched Sesame Street so I guess it's understandable he doesn't know Oscar the Grouch and he didn't watch a lot of tv and stuff (still doesn't) so it's weird when he has these gaps in pop culture. Although it might be his age ...
Timelies all!
Glad you got your meds, JZ.
Oscar isn’t used in Sesame Street nearly as much as he was when we were kids.
I just woke up from a much needed nap trying to figure out who was texting me so much. It’s the grocery order I placed before I fell asleep being shopped.
Ha! Been there, sj.
Thank all that is holy that the drug debacle is over for you JZ. Blessings on everyone who pushed and pulled to make that happen.
Odd question, but do the piggies shed much? If they do, or if human hair/lint, etc. are an issue in your house, I have the solution!
I feel like a cross between a QVC shill and that baboon holding up the cub at the beginning of The Lion King. I have found the greatest device EVAH!!!
Seriously, Cagney sheds like it his job, and his needle like fur is not the kind you can brush away. It weaves into absolutely everything. I was so glad to move into this new place with hardwood floors and brand new carpet...clean at last! And then, fell into the same sort of despair as every other place. No high quality vacuum and robot combo can keep up.
Yesterday, I turned on a Dresden novel and spent hours with the Uproot (tm) cleaning two couches, the living room rug and hall runner. Seriously, it was incredibly meditative, with the added bonus of a satisfying end result. There is also some ASMR involved, if you are into that sort of thing.
Your results may vary, and you need to be gentle with some surfaces, but I honestly can't recommend it highly enough.
Matt TBF turned me on to those a while back. It’s horrifying and intensely satisfying all at once.
Hmm, I am trying a new vacuum but the Uproot might be another tool in the never-ending fun of owning a white German Shedder. Her fur is everywhere and doesn't match my clothing that skews gray-black and often striped.
I need a zebra.
Odd question, but do the piggies shed much?
Somewhat but (a) they are small and (b) they mostly live in their cage though they do come out for cuddles.
Still, I'm happy for your Uproot powers! What I need is a tool that will suck the rigid inflexibility out of pharmacists.

Not even a Dyson will do that.
