Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Kristin’s knee is obviously choleric, and is producing too much yellow bile.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Knees are bullshit.

Our wings are not tired.

I have to agree with Dana on this one.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Pix, good luck. My experience wasn't great with getting an insurance company to approve an MRI. I hope your doc is more persuasive than mine was. That diagnosis is certainly comic fodder though.

Anyone have experience giving a cat a low dose of gabapentin over a period of time? I've been dosing Gilda every 12 hours and the instructions were to do so for 7-10 days. She'd had two good days in a row (days 9 and 10) so I was ready to stop, but she had a rough morning so I gave her another dose. I'm seeing info about use for chronic pain, so I should be okay to keep going at least thru the weekend, right?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks, Cindy. Nope I have it too. So far TCG is good and taking care of us.

Kristin, tons of knee~ma.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Are you giving Gilda the gabapentin for pain or Unhappy Kitty reasons?

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Knees are bullshit. I injured my knee years ago, sitting down on a bus.(????) I had to tell my boss this year that I don’t think I can traipse people all around the hospital (including several flights of stairs) for our simulation day, because I could not walk for the next two days. Also, our hospital has two basements, so to get from one to the other there are stairs involved, which is also bullshit. And then I babied that knee so much, my other knee hurts now. And then I fell on Thursday.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Pix, "derangement of the knee" makes your knee sound like the Joker.

meara - Dec 23, 2022 12:19:31 pm PST #19389 of 30000

Agree that derangement of the knee sounds medieval (which to spell I always have to pronounce meddy-ehvehl in my head).

I feel bad for my parents because my sister is now also not coming for Christmas (she was supposed to drive). But also like…this is exactly why I didn’t want to fly to them at Christmas.

Otherwise I’m having a nice time with friends and it’s supposed to be warm enough for the pool this weekend, so I’m excited. And then I’ll head back to sad Seattle.

Simple answer is pain. She's got inflammation of her bladder. Urine sample didn't show any bacteria but her behavior is like a UTI. When it flares up she just keeps bouncing in and out of the litter box.
