One EMT said it was the worst he’s seen for lack of rooms.
Currently bracketed by that other epidemic, opioid overdoses. Both revived with Narcan. One guy with an infected foot singing Lime and the Coconut. The other guy is ordering off the menu like a 10 yo (chocolate chip pancakes, Mac and cheese) and trying to cage a room through Xmas.
Hec, that’s awful. I’m sorry you have to deal with that on top of everything.
I wanted to chime in here to say how sorry I am. I’ve been messaging with JZ directly and am just astonished at this news. And sending all of my love through all and any channels.

Mr. S had a meltdown, trashed his room and threw my phone out the window. Luckily it's still working.
I was out in the backyard talking to Mom on the phone ...well I was outside pacing around because it's a thing, I can't be on the phone without walking around...and I saw several dear out there. Not in our back yard but in the wooded area behind it. Just a flash of white tails and then I could see them before they went bounding off. I've been worried about the deer I've seen because there has been so much development their habitat is just dwindling away so it is nice that they are still there.
And then I went to work where I only worked 2 hours because the week before Xmas and they cut payroll significantly. I guess the company is doing that badly OR somehow the store went over hours massively and now we have to make up for it. So there were lines at the registers that were open but no where near what it could have been had the store been busier.
I thought I was done Xmas shopping but friday after work I'm going to run one place and see if anything catches my eye for M.
The extreme cold is coming here and it is going to be a low of 11F on Friday and only get up to the low 30s. Tomorrow is going to be a day of checking and wrapping pipes and looking for drafts to deal with --a household project. After I lost so much weight I got rid of a bunch of clothes and it seems like most of my winter stuff went with it. I have enough to get by but a couple of extra cozy things I got rid of because they were too big AND I rarely need them anymore but right now I'm wishing I had kept a few things.
Got the biopsy done so we’re in a recovery room. Not in the hallway! Plus not postponed until tomorrow.
Yay done and in a room!! Sad that that’s the good part but hey, it’s a lot better than a hallway.
Spent most of the day on the road today and have been thinking about you all, JZ and David. I'm glad you got the biopsy done.

Back in the ER hallway. The recovery room was just for recovery. They let us stay there an extra half hour, which was lovely while it lasted.
