Am I supposed to be changing my clothes a lot? Is that the helpful thing to do?

Our wings are not tired.

Also, I cannot stress how very very very much I love rocks. I'm like a 7-year-old.

My mom was this way. Always brought home a rock from wherever she visited. Shir sent me some rocks from Jerusalem for her, which was a real joy for her Catholic heart. She took a couple of geology courses at the local community college.

Very good to hear that Mac is doing well. It is surely a tough transition for him.

Yay, Daniel! Wound recovery sucks. My stepdad spent months in and out of the oxygen tank and had all manner of surgery for a random cut he got working in the yard. Tricky business. Follow the instructions and give Andi a big hug.

No decorating yet, maybe later today? I really need to do a bit of cleanup first.

The cat has been on the balcony twice now. She seems skittish to a certain degree as she is aware of the height. Brendon is really afraid she is going to try and jump up on the railing, which would not end well as it is only a couple of inches wide or so. I need to figure something out before the weather gets so nice I want to have the doors open all the time. Maybe I can add a screen door. I don't think there is anything I can do with the railing itself that wouldn't violate condo rules.

Also, we seem to have misplaced the mailbox key, which is not good. I did get the mail directly from the carrier while she was filling the boxes yesterday so I got our new driver's licenses.

My dad was the same way at 83. I used to joke that I could never have an outdoor wedding, because Dad would stop to look at a pretty rock in the middle of walking me down the aisle. My great niece is also very into rocks, but she’s only pushing four. We’ll see if her obsession has staying power.

Yesterday wasn’t too bad, much as I complained about it upthread. More a series of “Really? Really?!?” at increasing volume. But today I’m drinking good coffee in the light of my Christmas tree, listening to cold rain falling in a world that I don’t have to go out into, and that’s a pretty good way to start the day.

Excellent way to start the day! I started with TJ's GF pumpkin pancakes, which I also recommend.

Tree today, I plan.

Apparently if you're enough of a power nerd, there is nothing that cannot be flowcharted.

I started with TJ's GF pumpkin pancakes, which I also recommend.

I hoarded a few boxes of that, because they're so good!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

It's been another awful weekend with Mr. S. Unless he's eating or sleeping he's demanding our attention all the time(usually Gary) and we're at the end of our rope. He's starting his new school tomorrow and I'm really worried about how things will go.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Tons of ~ma, Sheryl.

I wish I didn’t have to head to an appointment this morning because I’m deeply enjoying the fact that there are no other people I my house today. Less enjoyable is the fact that my car is in the shop for the second time in as many weeks. This time it’s the blowing mechanism on the heater.

Boo to that, sj. And I hope your appointment is quick so you can enjoy the some house time in solitude...

I need to motivate here. Got work to get done on deadline today. OK, here I go... wish me luck.

Our wings are not tired.

You got this, Jen! Do the thing!

Crazier than a workday after a 3-day weekend, is a workday after a 4-day weekend. Well, really 4-1/2 because a lot of my practices were half-day on Wednesday too.
