Fucking JD Vance is pulling ahead.
I feel for the Ohioans so much. I have a bunch of cousins there as well as my beloved friends. Vance? Really people.
I haven't seen a bunch of results as it has been busy, but it sounds like it could have been a lot worse.
Speaking of a lot worse could have happened, good to see you home, Daniel. Take care of yourself!
In my congressional district, the Democratic candidate defeated the Republican incumbent and flipped the US House seat, so that helps make up for fucking JD Vance's win.
All the other statewide candidates I voted for lost in a sea of red. Sucks. But all the local candidates and issues I voted for won, which makes me feel like Cincinnati is getting more blue.
Republicans won every single race I voted in, which is to be expected, but it sounds like they underperformed overall. Sounds like they will still get the house so that's two years of investigations and impeachments.
That’s good to read, Tep! There are way too many House seats for me to have a grip on what’s happening beyond a few races and the maps are misleading with the big empty places red and small dense places being blue and that more or less balancing. Just watching the totals is not very satisfying.
I am heartened that it’s not as bad as it could have been but I continue to be bewildered that there are SO MANY voters who are JUST FINE with clearly unacceptable candidates with horrifying positions.
Glad you are home, DCJ!
All of our statewide assholes got re-elected, including the one under federal indictment. I need to move.
Haven't looked at the county results yet, but those should be much nicer.
And welcome home, Daniel. 17 days is too long to be in the hospital.
I woke up in a v cold room because my heat (hot water) seemed to have gone out overnight. While it was 33 out. Took a v brief lukewarm shower with the last of the hot water and then went downstairs and turned it off and turned it back on again (I think? Hopefully I followed the directions right—there did seem to be a gas flame after). Now hoping it’ll warm up in here soon.
Awesome to hear that you're at home, Daniel!
The fact that Warnock and Walker race is close is disturbing.
On the other hand Kentucky voted against the proposed anti abortion Constitutional Amendment was defeated.
Welcome home Daniel!!

Same here. I calculated I prevailed on 62% of my votes (29 of them total), but the big ones, including all our horrible supreme court justices all went the wrong way.
