We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Yeah, I'm not looking at the results.

I went out for a fancy cocktail with my niece, and then we had great fried chicken in Uptown. Now I'm watching John Oliver.

Next up I will probably watch some Star Wars or something. Anything to keep myself offline...

My Rep has been called, whew! Not that there was much doubt, but it’s nice to have something finished.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Fetterman won.

Warnock is up by a sliver.

NC avoids a supermajority so they can't override the Gov and enact abortion ban.

Young people turned out and have proven a dam against the Red Wave.

That’s heartening.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Cheri Beasley lost, but that Senate seat has been red for as long as I can remember.

Our wings are not tired.

Fucking JD Vance is pulling ahead.

I feel for the Ohioans so much. I have a bunch of cousins there as well as my beloved friends. Vance? Really people.

I haven't seen a bunch of results as it has been busy, but it sounds like it could have been a lot worse.

Speaking of a lot worse could have happened, good to see you home, Daniel. Take care of yourself!

In my congressional district, the Democratic candidate defeated the Republican incumbent and flipped the US House seat, so that helps make up for fucking JD Vance's win.

All the other statewide candidates I voted for lost in a sea of red. Sucks. But all the local candidates and issues I voted for won, which makes me feel like Cincinnati is getting more blue.

Coding and Sleeping

Republicans won every single race I voted in, which is to be expected, but it sounds like they underperformed overall. Sounds like they will still get the house so that's two years of investigations and impeachments.

That’s good to read, Tep! There are way too many House seats for me to have a grip on what’s happening beyond a few races and the maps are misleading with the big empty places red and small dense places being blue and that more or less balancing. Just watching the totals is not very satisfying.

I am heartened that it’s not as bad as it could have been but I continue to be bewildered that there are SO MANY voters who are JUST FINE with clearly unacceptable candidates with horrifying positions.

Glad you are home, DCJ!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

All of our statewide assholes got re-elected, including the one under federal indictment. I need to move.

Haven't looked at the county results yet, but those should be much nicer.
