Quesadillas without cheese is just sad.
DH spent the night in Georgia on his way up to cart some furniture and the dog south. The last few days he has developed a rash over much of his body so his doctor had me find a 24 hour pharmacy in northern FL along his route and called in a script. Of course he could have done something a couple days ago instead of Sunday afternoon, but yeah.
I spent much of yesterday packing and have quite a bit in the car already. I put the cat carrier open in the kitchen and the cat spent much of the day curled in it just in case I forgot her. Last year I had to disassemble my bed to capture her and corral her into it. She didn't give me a hard time when I put her in it to go to the vet either. Huh. That makes travel easier.
Off to the gym. Only a couple more days and I'll leave my entry chip behind.
So excited for you guys in your new place, Laura! Smooth travels, too.
Happy Birthday, KateP, and I hope they're figuring things out with your mom's health.
Our week with my friend staying here last week was fun, culminating with a small game night on Saturday. I worked most of the weekend, bah, but it's my own choice; I took on too many projects. Learning process.
This week is all work, my first swimming lesson (!), and then getting ready to leave for our vacation, yay.
A quesadilla without cheese is like... not a quesadilla.
Happy Birthday, Kate P!
I scrubbed the front of Mom's garage and painted the door and its frame this weekend, a task I'd been putting off throughout the hot summer. The weather was perfect for it, but the awesome cool temperature and breeze couldn't save me from aching back muscles I was previously unaware of possessing. Did not feel like going to see Black Adam as planned due to the uncooperative back, but I can do that Tuesday night.

I didn't realize Aldis Hodge was in Black Adam until I saw something online yesterday. Mr. The Rock *and* Aldis Hodge are more than enough to get me to see a comic-book movie.
We saw Black Adam Friday night and I of course appreciated the pretty of the actors, but I actually napped during part of it. My 12 yo great nephew enjoyed it, but it was just pow pow pow non-stop for me and I was bored. I can't say it was bad, just not my thing so much.
Lunch update: I came into the office today (I usually WFH Mondays) so I can easily go to a gym open house nearby this evening, and I am getting a croque monsieur and chocolate mousse delivered from a palce called Delicieuses crepes. I feel mildly in the wrong for not getting a crepe...

Getting a croque monsieur is never wrong. Unless, I don't know, it's a special at Arby's. Then I wouldn't get it. But this place sounds froggy and I'm sure it will be delicieuse.
Validation accepted! And the idea of a croque monsieur from Arby's is making me laugh. Delivery just got here and the first bite is, indeed delicieuse as advertised
Timelies all!
Happy Birthday Kate P!
Had trouble getting Mr. S to go to sleep last night.(He finally fell asleep after 10) I woke up around 3 for no reason, and dozed on-and-off until the alarm.

I'm imagining the ad campaign, and it's already devolved into increasingly ridiculous haute cuisine at fast food ads, starting with McTruffle Burger and devolving into Pizza Hut's Tomato Aspic stuffed crusts.
