"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

JZ and Matilda are off to RenFaire for the day where Jacqueline will continue to scowl at people for wearing clashing colors and Matilda will be at the Washing Women's Well.

Which means, I have the house to myself for the day which is a rarity that I will enjoy.

Halloween Viewing: A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (probably my all-time favorite vampire movie, though Let The Right One In is up there); a bunch of Gravity Falls shorts that originally ran on YouTube but are up at Disney+ now; Great Pumpkin (with whole family); The Keep (infamously difficult to see 80s horror movie about Nazis and a hell gate. Currently up at Criterion Channel with their 80s Horror collection); Bell Book & Candle (again a rewatch. I've seen it multiples. Have the soundtrack on vinyl. There used to be a Zodiac Club in SF that recreated the mural from the movie); various classic Halloween themed Disney shorts.

Yet to watch: The Uninvited (40s ghost story) or Over The Garden Wall.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

What are y'all doing this weekend?

Wandering around the local Fall Festival for lunch, and hopefully getting to tour this house with my realtor at some point: [link]

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

What are y'all doing this weekend?

Back to normal Sat things: farmer's market, breakfast out, donut pick-up, groceries. Now gonna knit for an hour, then walk the dogs, then clean out garage.

I'd like to do some house cleaning and sewing this weekend. We shall see.

Supposed to go glasses shopping with some friends, then go to a corn maze!

Thrive to spite them

I worked today. It was not a good day to find things. My eye has bothered me the last 2 days. I think I just need new glasses but that had to wait until Dec ...I think I need different prisms or at least in my right eye it doesn't bother me as much when my glasses are off I'm going to go home and rest my eyes for awhile ( aka catnap) and then work on some art. There is a tutorial I want to follow along for making small mixed media cards. And then tonight I'll watch FSU most likely lose to Clemson

Tomorrow M and I may go to this thing in downtown Greenville. Depends on how we both feel. I need to do some laundry and more art.

Some very cool detail work in there, Matt.

Apple picking, pumpkin-stuff procurement, bonfires, spooky movies, Fall Festival, corn maze... we're very seasonal! Well done, team.

Hope you get to see the place in person, Matt. Exciting.

Craft show was fun -- didn't stay too long, but I can scoot back tomorrow after I ponder a couple of items I might pick up for holiday gifts.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I was going to go to the NY Art Book Fair in Chelsea today, but I got there, saw how long the line to get in was, and turned around and left. So that was a waste.

Our wings are not tired.

Long lines freak me out too, Tom. My mind thinks Covid spread.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I went and got the cat food that I absolutely had to get to avoid being eaten while I sleep and then figured I could go to TJ’s for pumpkiny goodness or maybe a movie or something but as I was driving in that direction the alternative of going home and taking a nap came out of nowhere to win the day. Still more than I usually do on a Saturday, tbh
