I look more rad than Lutheranism

Tim's been napping for most of the day, thanks to his meds.* This means I'm actually getting some work done. So my caretaking today consists of making sure he takes his meds on time and gets some food in him. Today's big goal is a shower. It's a gorgeous fall day again and it would be nice for him to sit on the porch, but he desperately needs sleep. There will be other nice fall days for the porch.

*The hospital pharmacy automatically includes a Narcan prescription when a patient has an opioid prescription at discharge, which makes sense now that I think about it.

Our wings are not tired.

His body must really need that rest to recover.

Sad to see that Angela Lansbury has died. She was such a delight. Particularly adored her in Sweeny Todd.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I’m glad Tim is recovering well, Tep.

Good job, Tim and Steph!

Tim requested pumpkin pancakes for dinner, so who am I to say no to that? We also took a very short walk to the corner (like 5 minutes). Next up is a shower. We already had a shower chair after Tim’s heart surgery, so that’s all set. Then more oxycodone in 45 minutes.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm glad Tim's recovery is going well, Steph.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That all sounds very good

I went and visited a fancy little grocery that's near work and spent too much money on cheese and whatnot (mostly cheese). As I was checking out, the owner (I think that's who it was) complimented my selection of cheese and says she also likes a variety and I told her the difficulty was not taking everything she had to offer, so I think we are friends now. Can't afford to go there very often, sadly, but it will be a nice occasional treat, I think.

Yum, cheese. I hung out with a friend tonight and we got tacos from this truck. We ordered drive queso birria tacos, and they were good but about halfway through the second one I went “…there’s really not any cheese in here is there?” So she took her plate up to the truck to ask, and he insisted on making us full new plates. The cheese was like a thin fried cheese on the tortilla? It was definitely worth the extra and glad we got to try it, but I absolutely couldn’t eat six tacos and it felt like a horrible waste.

Mmmm, tacos.

Quiet morning. Sitting here chilling, really, chilling. Still only 60 in the house. This place is really not insulated well. Another 2 weeks and I will head south. My car door handles were frozen yesterday!
