Ugh, nobody was very enthusiastic about this Monday. Not even Matilda and it's her birthday.
It's very grey out in SF this morning, which is fine. I could use some Autumn cool. I suppose I'll go run while I can.
I am not enthusiastic about Monday but am startled and disturbed how old Matilda is. My god. I mean I knew. But. Dang.

Today is kind of perfect weather here, after some cooler days, and a coworker and I met on our way into the building this morning both sweating like pigs! We were ready for a crisp fall morning, not muggy last gasps of summer.
It's perfect fall weather here, so I have pumpkin bread in the oven while I work.

I’m in the ER waiting for my Dad to get admitted or let go. At least they let my Mom go sit with him in their triage area. It’s very busy here today. Wish I’d brought my book. (His blood pressure was very low this morning.)

Thank you for the update, Epic. That sounds encouraging. I'm glad you followed up with the doctor on the fever. With reduced immunity you are better off double checking. Another step forward in your treatment plan. The ~ma continues to be sent in a steady stream.
Book club tonight. I noticed my neighbor's farm stand has butternut squash so soup is in my future, and maybe other stuff as it looked like she had a good crop. She had a bunch of pumpkins too, but I really haven't cooked from fresh pumpkins before, despite loving them in general. Going to check out some recipes though. Also, check out what else she has that I couldn't see from the road.
