Thrive to spite them

That really sucks about the window.

msbelle I hope that things go smoothly prepping for Mac's arrival.

I went to work. Did not do great with finding things but I think that's ok since they moved a bunch of stuff around and I wasn't feeling great. I did test negative though so- that's good. Just still tired and stuff.

Congrats on the negative test, askye! I hope your recovery is swift and smooth and returning to work doesn't tax you too much.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Sorry about the window, David.

I have to pack tonight, as my flight is tomorrow around 12:45.

It's so quiet. It's like you all want me to get to work or something. Whatever, man.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The second school morning didn't start well today. I failed to have ltc put out her clothes last night, she couldn't find the shirt she wanted to wear, and everything went badly from there. On the positive side of things she wasn't sure if she left her pencil box at school or if she lost it somewhere in the house last night, I emailed her new teacher, and she got back to me right away that ltc left it at school, as she was supposed to do. She wasn't technically on the clock yet and didn't have to respond right away.

That was nice of her! Glad the pencil box is located.

Our wings are not tired.

That's encouraging, sj. Communication is everything.

Chilly today. Started at 51 and only up to 60 at noon! DH considers this all out freezing while I find it refreshing.

Sorry for the rought morning, sj.

I had what must have been one of the fastest trips to the DMV and now my car registration is up to date again. Hooray! My own foolishness that let it lapse, but oh well, I'd say live and learn but I doubt I have actually learned much of anything, I expect to continue such foolishness, I've been doing it a long time now.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Please continue to not beat yourself up, -t. The last time my license was up for renewal, I accidentally let it expire. It expired *on my birthday*, so it's not like I forgot the date. We're all just doing the best we can pretending to be grownups and hoping no one notices we're faking it a lot of the time!

In SF you'll get ticketed while you're street parked for lapsed registration. Multiple tickets until you get it done. I've also been pulled over by CHIPS on the Bay Bridge (had to exit on Treasure Island) with registration only a month past due.

Very aggressive about it here.

I did my morning run and I'm about to shower and do more walking and shopping, so I should get thousands of steps in today. Ooh - I checked my phone and I'm now averaging 10,000 steps a day over the last year.

Over the last month my average has been 12,264 steps a day with a high of 18,323 on Aug. 20th.

I walked plenty before but am doing more now that we've moved to the new house.

So far no contractors today....eerily quiet.

But we're meeting with our regular (that is - not the window restorationists) contractor tomorrow to go over the "punch list." This will include installing the new light fixtures. Woot!
