'A Hole in the World'
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
but in theory it sounds like a way to force adult children to care for their abusers. So that's fun.
Oof.
We're waiting for the highly chaotic and irregular window guys to show up.
They either show up unannounced and start working in the garage before we get up, or they disappear for a month. But you cannot predict when they are going to come. Even when they say they're going to come, they're going to trick you.

That's quirky and possibly even charming in an Almodóvar movie, but not so much in real life.
CVS is also being screwy with my prescriptions (one of which is Ativan, which I quite obviously need right now), and I only have so many brain cells I can devote to Stuff Going Wrong. Maybe if I tell CVS I don't have the bandwidth to deal with their shit, they'll just fix it. (HahahahahahaNOPE.)
Ugh, filial responsibility laws are shitty. Sorry Teppy.
We were meant to be in Scotland today but our flight to our layover in Toronto was canceled yesterday. Wish us good travel luck today!
Yikes, what a pain! Good luck!!
Jen be careful! Sorry your cute outfit fought back!
I’m reaching the end of my rope at work and told my boss. I’m taking Friday off but don’t really have anyone to cover for me so it’s just moving the work to Monday and I am SO DONE.

Yes, you don't actually want to live in a knockabout farce.
Jen, glad you're doing OK. That whole "Beauty is pain" thing doesn't have to be taken that literally, I think. For future reference.
Steph, I'm so sorry you're going through this. Dealing with the care of an elderly parent is already so hard without having that level of mental baggage added in as well. Much ~ma for finding your way through. And for magical chemicals to find their way to you soonest.
Travel~ma, Lisah.
Job~ma, meara. I hope your boss both hears and does their best to help.
Papers are signed-- literally I needed to put my signature on two slips of paper. I am home and I am starting to not feel great. I'm telling myself it's just being tired and stressed from all the stressiness going on. I just feel tired mostly. I didn't end up buying anything I could just thrown in the oven to fix for dinner so I may just heat up pasta sauce and cook some noodles and call it dinner.
Ohio has a "filial responsibility" law — it's a first-degree misdemeanor if a person fails to provide adequate support for an aged or infirm parent unable to provide his or her own support. I don't know how enforced it is in practice, but in theory it sounds like a way to force adult children to care for their abusers.
Pennsylvania has the same and nursing homes have absolutely used it to collect on debts, even if you weren't a guarantor and objected to the placement. Teppy, if your budget will allow, I would heartily encourage you and your brother to consult an elder care lawyer and see where things stand financially; you don't want to be surprised.
Jen! Fashion shouldn't hurt! Feel better soon.
Zoomy plane~ma, Lisah!
And ...I have covid. I kinda have felt like I had some minor symptoms yesterday . I went to the lawyers bur I was there for less than 5 mins distanced , masked so.
M's mom is about to go out somewhere for the 3rd time today. She was on the phone with a friend who got onto her for going out with Covid and M 's mom just made faces at the phone.
