Our wings are not tired.

That sounds good Laura!

The head construction guy was nearly in tears. He was sure it was going to be swiss cheese under the house. It was cute to see how happy he was to have a good surprise under the floorboards.

Our wings are not tired.

Gave M his covid test and it turned positive almost immediately which makes me wonder if I did something wrong or it's just really really positive.

Nope - positive. False negatives are far more common. I'm sorry.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Good foundation news, Laura!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Gave M his covid test and it turned positive almost immediately which makes me wonder if I did something wrong or it's just really really positive.

When I was sick I definitely had a few tests where the strip turned positive as soon as the liquid hit it.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Oh yeah, for sure. The first few days, it turned DARK positive within 30 seconds.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yeah mine was completely negative one day and very quickly positive the next.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hi sumi! Always nice to see your pixels. I hope the weekend crowds are ok.

Hope the symptoms stay mild and it doesn’t last too long, Vortex. Same for M, askye, fingers crossed you can continue to escape.

Thrive to spite them

Yeah I figured it was like that. I know when I'm deluding myself that I don't have a UTI and it's something else the test strip turns color almost immediately.

I haven't cooked in a while and it's nice making soup, I kind of wanted to get creative but I'm keeping it pretty simple, just put in potatoes and some fresh green beans so they'll cook down really soft and just waiting for it to come to a boil and then I'll simmer it for awhile and throw in the frozen veggies and simmer some more and call it done.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I don't know how long it took (I set the timer and walked away), but it was definitely very dark pink.

Side note - does anyone (Teppy) know the post-expiration efficacy of the free COVID tests the goverment sent out? I used my expensive proctored one for the test I just took, but I have some of the gov't ones that expired in March. Theoretically, I'm safe after Tuesday (5 days after symptoms began, according to the latest guidance), but don't want to waste the pricey test checking to make sure.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I don't actually know how effective they are after the expiration date; as a matter of fact, I took a government-provided Covid test 2 weeks ago,* and the expiration date was the very next day, and I was wondering how accurate the test would be at minus 1 day before expiring.

*(Everything I ate tasted metallic for a couple of days, and I didn't have any other symptoms, but I figured Covid is weird, and we had a pile of tests in the bathroom, so I might as well check. It was not Covid. [Or it was a false negative.]) (Still have no idea why everything tasted metallic, but that went away, so whatever.)
