Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Side note - does anyone (Teppy) know the post-expiration efficacy of the free COVID tests the goverment sent out? I used my expensive proctored one for the test I just took, but I have some of the gov't ones that expired in March.

I don't actually know how effective they are after the expiration date; as a matter of fact, I took a government-provided Covid test 2 weeks ago,* and the expiration date was the very next day, and I was wondering how accurate the test would be at minus 1 day before expiring.

*(Everything I ate tasted metallic for a couple of days, and I didn't have any other symptoms, but I figured Covid is weird, and we had a pile of tests in the bathroom, so I might as well check. It was not Covid. [Or it was a false negative.]) (Still have no idea why everything tasted metallic, but that went away, so whatever.)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

They've pushed the expiration date of those tests out a few times.

I hadn't heard that and was wondering the same thing as mine expired in July.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I definitely felt like I had a very bad flu with Covid despite being vaxed and boosted until about a day after I started Paxlovid, and then I was just exhausted and had the disgusting Paxlovid taste in my mouth.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I so love the government. The subtitle says "9-month to 12-month self-life extension granted by the FDA July 8, 2022," but all of the extensions seem to be 6 months. Right? Not just my bad math?

So, if I have a test with an expiration date before the ones listed on the form, do I presume that it's good for up to six months?

Thrive to spite them

I remain Covid negative according to the test I just took. I'm going to continue to isolate as much as possible and see how it goes.

And the soup I made was a hit. It was pretty simple but M's mom not only told me how much she liked it twice but she told whoever she was talking to on the phone how good it was. Which almost never happens, usually I just get a "that was good".

I'm Skyping with E-- or rather he is doing his thing on minecraft and I'm surfing the internet. His first day of 8th grade was today. They have a new principal who is a "Karen". I asked why and he said she talked like one at an assembly they had and her hair cut.

I'd think so, Vortex. What I read (grain of salt) is that they're revising dates as they get more information from the tests being used in the real world.
