I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I took the dogs out for a walk without my keys or phone. THANK GOD for the owner of the local pet shop still being there. Neither neighbor I tried was answering. Tomorrow spare keys get made for neighbors AND hide-a-keys.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Spare keys with neighbors are clutch.

I got myself a six-pack of bottles of Fresca the other day, and it was a great present for me PLUS six toys for Buddy! (the caps.)

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Sigh. Mickey is back. I had just about convinced myself that it was my imagination, but there he was, bold as brass streaking across the room. Put in a maintenance report

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Back when I bought my house (which is now over 20 years ago -- gack!!!) I got the locks changed -- which of course one does -- and I got the locksmith to change them to the "key needed to lock" model, so the number of times I or R. got stranded can be counted on hands, mostly because of timing mix-ups where party one left without keys (somehow) and the other left, locking things up.

Oh, I have to report back that I got the Soda Stream at Target, and R. was pleased and surprised, even though she'd asked for it.

Yikes Vortex, I hope maintenance is on top of it quickly :(

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

It’s kind of satisfying that the man on my group therapy zoom who thinks he knows everything about everything is the only one who has consistently had trouble logging on. Today he was there but couldn’t hear us.

Vortex, I hope you can get the situation taken care of quickly.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Sorry, Vortex. I prefer imaginary mice, for sure.

Installing a deadbolt that's pushbutton combination instead of keyed (or as well as keyed, I guess, but I never use the key) has been a lifesaver in terms of not locking myself out. It's so freeing not have to carry keys every time I go outside.

It is probably not so well-adjusted of me to think so, sj, but that is pretty funny.

I think my weekly Tuesday conference call is canceled - chances of being done with work on time increasing...

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

Five years in a dorm with auto-locking doors hammered it in to me to ALWAYS have my keys when I go outside.

Yeah, I locked myself out once here and once at my old place right before I moved here, and that was impetus for me to add a keypad lock to the front door. Plus I have a garage keypad and a key hidden in there for the garage entry door (which is not a deadbolt). Adding the key deadbolt for the front door was pretty easy though, since I already had a deadbolt.
