Yikes Vortex, I hope maintenance is on top of it quickly :(

It’s kind of satisfying that the man on my group therapy zoom who thinks he knows everything about everything is the only one who has consistently had trouble logging on. Today he was there but couldn’t hear us.
Vortex, I hope you can get the situation taken care of quickly.
Sorry, Vortex. I prefer imaginary mice, for sure.
Installing a deadbolt that's pushbutton combination instead of keyed (or as well as keyed, I guess, but I never use the key) has been a lifesaver in terms of not locking myself out. It's so freeing not have to carry keys every time I go outside.
It is probably not so well-adjusted of me to think so, sj, but that is pretty funny.
I think my weekly Tuesday conference call is canceled - chances of being done with work on time increasing...
Five years in a dorm with auto-locking doors hammered it in to me to ALWAYS have my keys when I go outside.
Yeah, I locked myself out once here and once at my old place right before I moved here, and that was impetus for me to add a keypad lock to the front door. Plus I have a garage keypad and a key hidden in there for the garage entry door (which is not a deadbolt). Adding the key deadbolt for the front door was pretty easy though, since I already had a deadbolt.

I'm with askye, sj.
I'm a big fan of smart locks so that I have multiple ways of locking and unlocking doors, and I can also lock or unlock them remotely if I need to let someone in.
I think I will change one of my locks to a keypad eventually, but for now I have four new keys and two new key hiding thingies. The other two keys will go to neighbors.
I have one that links to your phone or can take a code but I haven’t gotten around to installing it yet. We have a key pad one at the cabin and it’s been a lifesaver.
Literally, come to think of it. We were able to give 911 the code this spring when my father had a crisis so the EMS team could go right in.
