Here is Gimlet's description from the animal control website: "Gimlet is a classic gem of a guinea pig gent, not unlike his namesake cocktail. He's well balanced (in his enjoyment of exploring and chilling in his hidey hole), is the epitome of good taste (leafy greens, yum!) and has a soupçon of elegance. Granted he lacks the scurvy-preventing lime of the gimlet cocktail, but he more than makes up for it in cuteness. "

What a description! I hope they get along famously.
I am a bit bewildered that that is good news, askye, but I accept it and congratulate you.
A couple ore hours and I will be on vacation! I'm going be all reckless and go out two nights in a row so I can enjoy PTO happy hour. Then tomorrow morning I kick off my vacation proper with an exciting trip to the DMV and then we'll just have to see what may develop.
Speaking of happy hour, I have an important question. The place I am planning to go has some season summer cocktails I want to try, but it is also Wine Wednesday so I feel like I should have a glass of the expensive pinot while it's discounted. So cocktails before wine or the other way around?
Gimlet is a delightful name. I hope the pair become best buddies.
Hmmm, I would have the wine first, for no particular reason. Just makes sense to my palate.
One vote for wine first. I was kind of leaning towards cocktail and appetizer and then wine with dinner because that seems civilized but it also seems like my tastebuds might overwhelmed before I get to the wine. So IDK
To complicate the issue, I just noticed that they also offer a flight of 3 sangrias so maybe I will just switch to that? Hm.
Golf carts are the preferred transportation
I own four golf carts. Well, rather I have four of them for my company, but for about 8 months of the year one of them lives up at our house.
I once spent the day driving around a movie lot in a golf cart driven by George Clooney. I’ve had some cool times in my little life I am now realizing. And yeah he’s as nice as he seems. That was in 1995 or 6, whenever he was filming his terrible Batman. His assistant Amy was a good friend of mine at the time. ETA: I just went down a rabbit hole trying it figure out if Amy is still working for him or even if she’s alive. She produced a few of his films in the late 90s and was interviewed for a maagazine in early 2000s. He’s had another assistant for years (Angel) and they used to overlap a bit. Harrumph I hate when I lose touch with people and they seem to fall off the face of the earth. Another friend from that time was Wes Craven’s assistant and now she’s a super famous creator of Vampire Diaries. We uses to call her Plecie. 😝
Hee, "whenever he was filming his terrible Batman" is such a funny way to place something in time!
Accurate tho, right!? Ha!
Oh, yeah, very effective!
