I'm glad that venting made you feel better. Have a beautiful time, Jen.
I feel bait and switched. And annoyed that they haven't immediately offered a partial refund.
Honestly, we would have picked a place with a working hot tub, had we known.
That said, I'd have demanded some level of compensation and would leave a review that was not flattering. Because tubs are important to me.
I'm annoyed that the Nascar trucks won't let me listen to the scanners. I think they are just down for streaming but I only watch this series because I like one of the spotters. I am going to leave them a review that is not flattering. Because Eddie D'Hondt telling drivers, "quartah, qauatah, door, clearah" is very soothing to me.
vent
just need to vent somewhere, this is safest place
My best friend from college, beat leukemia in 20s, living with colon cancer now metastasized various places for over a decade, taking a turn for the worst. Tumors blocking intestines, in hospital supplementing nutrition to get her strong enough for surgery to put in bypasses. No real plan for treatment because she is off all charts for her cancer. There are no options that are known to work and no examples of patients still living with what she has. Her son in 16.
My son. Incommunicado. For over a week. Phone goes straight to voice mail and voice mail is full. Texts, no response. Including the one that said I was in hospital after hitting my head. Bank account showing largish deposits from cash app and then immediate withdrawls from atms. Today should have been a paycheck. No paycheck. Rent due on Monday and he has less than $100 in account. I've texted the one high school friend of his I have a phone # for and I reached out to another via IG. Bank activity shows me he is not dead, but WTEVERLOVINGGODDAMNF
vent over
I was working until 9 (comp time) so I am going to bed. no need for sympathetic words, or pats. I just need to dump that somewhere.
Oh, msbelle. That is all a lot.
Oh, man, msbelle. Wishing your friend all kinds of good intervention outcome. And, of course, a mac check-in and more.
I'm sorry, msbelle. That is a whole lot.
Oh msbelle. That just sounds so hard.
Second post: I know this was on Facebook, but Jesse- I am now noticing all the Fanny packs worn as chest bags! They are everywhere! And thanks to Gar, I discovered that they are really great for those of us who struggle with coordination! So I think I am getting one.
re: the cross body fanny pack: [link]
from 2017.
msbelle, you know I would never hug you, but I am thinking of you and you can't stop me.
Also I did try putting my fanny pack over the shoulder and as I thought, found it very awkward to get things in and out of! And it weirdly hugged my one breast, which isn't even that big.
