Geez, msbelle! I'm glad the scan is clear -- meaning, not a concussion? I hope they can treat your wound quickly and get you home to chill and be comfortable.

meara, do not camp in 108° weather, please.

We just had a lovely late lunch with a friend, and now I'm going to see Thor solo. I haven't been to a movie alone in a long time. Kind of exciting, and only three other tix sold so far, so I'm feeling pretty good Covid-safety wise.

Yes clear scan means no concussion or bleeding, I think.

I am getting some staples put in and then can go home.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh jeez, msbelle! Glad you got helped and are OK.

Don't go camping in 108 degrees, meara! I just spent a couple of hours outside in 97 and that was too many.

In related news, I went to the movies by myself just yesterday! I love it.

Thrive to spite them

msbelle-- you can have a clear scan and still have a concussion. Have you had trouble focusing your eyes? That happened to me and I didn't realize it at the time what was going on...also because I was really confused feeling. Concussion symptoms can sometimes show up later ..even days later . So keep an eye out for things like:

headache, light sensitivity, ringing in your ears, dizziness, vertigo. nausea, blurry vision, fatigue, irritablitity, outbursts of emotions, concentration problems etc.

I really hope you don't have a concussion msbelle but if you do start feeling off or if you have clusminess (also a symptom of a concussion) then you will want to call your doctor. They can't do that much really but if you have bad dizziness or nausea there is medicine for that (although it will make you sleepy).

I am home. They opted for glue not staples. Once they cleared all the dried yuckiness and my hair it was like two puncture wounds and abrasions and nothing was still bleeding, so GLUE!

Yes askye the PA said due to my 5+ hours in there for observation, they could rule out a bad concussion, but I might have a mild one. I’ll be staying home tomorrow and am just eating and putting on an audio book. I won’t be on much because I don’t want to tempt the screen nausea.

Good plan, msbelle.

Solo movie was fun! Thor was silly and enjoyable.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Glad you're home, msbelle. Rest that noggin.

meara, 108° is too hot for camping.

My primary activity this weekend has been reading and adjusting blinds and fans depending on where the sun is. Most of my produce is going to go bad because I don't want to use the stove/oven.
