What a relief, Matt. Great news.
I love 2-factor, but it can be a pain. Seems most everything is tied to my phone so I get codes and have to guess who to forward them to.

My nephew is back from Italy- he called on Skype earlier but I had to decline because I was trying to nap. I had a busy morning.
I met with a lawyer, one a co worker recommended who helped him with his worker's comp case when he was hurt at BMW. I have been going back and forth since lisah's recommendation and talking to that lawyer. The woman I spoke with today just... I don't know ..she didn't promise me anything big but she made things understandable and gave me a real clear idea of steps she would be taking and so now I have her working for me. Which means I don't have to try to contact Corvel about things. So that's a relief but really tiring. I ended up crying a little in frustration at the end because I was trying to talk about things and it was just.. I kept stumbling over words and kind of losing my train of thought. Not as bad as it has been.
When I got home I called mom and I was still stumbling with words and stuff and I haven't had this much of an issue in awhile. Which is progress but it's just frustrating that I feel like I'm reduced to "fire bad tree pretty" ...except sometimes it feels like I'm more reduced to "fire pretty ....tree bad".
Although it looks like they finally got my work request change at work and changed the week after next but not next week. However the HR manager is on vacation this week so when she is back next week I'll ask if she can change next week for me. I'll be working 10-1 and have 3 days off. Which at this point seems a little excessive because for the past few days I've done really well at work but I've wanted this done since the the start of July so it's going to happen and I'm hoping that after a couple of weeks I'll have enough recovery time that I won't be tired by the time I get home from work and can add hours back.
10% agree, t!
This is making me laugh, meara, whether you meant exactly that or not
That sounds like some good developments, askye! I'm sorry recovery is so uneven, and I hope cutting back on work hours helps.
That's great news, Matt!
I'm glad you have someone to help with things, askye.
I can only imagine trying to deal with bureaucracy on top of having a concussion. My head hurts thinking about it.
Geez, just got a medical alert thing about a 20 yo unvaccinated person in NY getting Polio. Polio people! The world has gone mad. My sister, who is 74 was one of the first people to get the vaccine when she was a wee one.

Ha, ha, ha! I love that.I mean, I know it's a typo, but I love it.
Matt!! That is wonderful.
askye, I'm glad you have the lawyer helping you.
Timelies all!
Great news, Matt!
Our next travel in mid-August, to Toronto. We're driving, and breaking the trip up into a couple days.
What-is-my-job-anyway-limbo update: we have a preliminary outline of how we will be realigning our roles and it sounds okay? But we will probably not really change until January because there's software changes that have to happen first and we'll be in peak season and blah blah blah good reasons but that'll be close to a year since we started talking about this. Some things might change before then, we'll see. It's good to know it's not just somebody's dream that is never really expected to happen, though, which it kind of seemed like for a while.
Of course, we'll make these changes in January and I know the only other Senior Business Analyst left (there were 5 of us a year ago, one left and was not replaced, one was promoted to be our supervisor, and another just left and will not be replaced) wants to retire around June next year so...that'll be interesting
I have finished sanding! Tomorrow, staining, which is easy and should go fast. And then this project is done. I love DIY, but sometimes the “do” part is exhausting.
Wow, scrappy! Hand-sanding a deck seems like a lot.

Good news, Matt!!
I can't believe I haven't gotten Covid yet. I guess sitting in literally the last row of Boston Garden is why I got away with the NKOTB concert last weekend.
