Thrive to spite them

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, ugh, Calli, I hate those dreams that don't even feel like dreams because they take place where you actually are! So hard to shake off and so full of adrenaline.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Poor Mulder. I'm so sorry, Laura.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm sorry, Laura.

We went out to dinner with Gary's mom last night to celebrate Mr. S's birthday. Unfortunately, he got more and more out of control as the night went on(including throwing his medicine into a fountain) and we ended up taking him to the ER. They got his meds into him, and he actually fell asleep there. Sigh...

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Sheryl, I'm so sorry. Your whole family has just been through one wringer after another. I hope you were all able to get some rest after Mr. S fell asleep.

And Laura, poor Mulder and poor Scully, and you already sick and now having to contend with this.

And Epic. There are just no words. My heart breaks for you and your family, your nephew and his kids and everyone who loved him and his inability to know or believe how much he was loved or that he deserved it.

Too much Covid, too much sadness and struggling and loneliness and grief. The universe can take a deep breath and just give itself a moment to gather its thoughts instead of flailing wildly at everyone anytime now, please.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Oh Laura. I'm so sorry.

Sheryl, I'm sorry that Mr. S.' birthday ended in the ER.

Much ~ma and health to all.

We have a new dog. He's a coonhound named 'Benzo'. Not sure if he's going to work out or not. He's really afraid of everything which is making training difficult. We're still in the shelter's trial period so we'll see how it goes.

Nothing really interesting going on otherwise. Saw Pacific Rim for the first time over the weekend and I found it really entertaining, just a slick, fun movie that doesn't take itself too seriously. I also got a chance to take a look at a Ford Maverick (literally just a look at one, not get in it) and it seems like the bed is big enough to be a useful little truck. The backseat looks tighter than I'd like, though I didn't get a good look at the interior. Might see if I can manage a test drive at some point and look into ordering one if I like it.

Still finding politics pretty depressing, especially SCOTUS.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Ford Maverick

Beware the turn radius. My C-Max has a 19'3" turn radius, and it can be difficult to get into a parking space.

test drive

Go for it! Could be fun, and doesn't commit you to anything

I love Pacific Rim. It's one of my comfort movies.
